Tetrahexyldecyl ascorbate is a derivative of vitamin C. Because it’s fat-soluble, it can penetrate the skin better than pure vitamin C. It’s also a more stable version of vitamin C, meaning it has a longer shelf life and isn’t as affected by temperature, light, and exposure to oxygen.
